SCULPTURES

Arkady's sculptures are truly inspired by anything. She works in a variety of clays for her sculptures to enhance the sculpture itself. She prefers to work in raw and often leaves the clay with minimal glazing. She is developing a burnishing technique for her underglazes that adds a natural sheen to the pieces without the use of clear glazes. She takes delight in the pushing the clay as far as it will go and really creating something that catches the eye.
